The Adult Study Group is back this spring reading Do I Stay Christian? by Brian McLaren. This is an unflinching look at what the church has gotten wrong and gotten right through history into present day. The point is not to convince anyone one way or the other, but to consider how do we become more human (whether we stay Christian or not) and how to live into the example set by Jesus Christ. Each week we will have a 30-minute music session followed by a time for snack, free play and making new friends.

This is a community outreach event, so spread the word widely and let people know that all are welcome. There is a $5/week suggested donation at the door. There is no advanced registration or commitments, so come when you can and don’t stress when you cannot.

Calling all 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds to join Ms. Michaela for a special Sunday School class just for you! Ms. Michaela is launching a brand new toddler Sunday School workshop to help engage our littlest kiddos in faith. We will sing some songs, read a story, pray and play. This is a drop-off class, so please sign-up your little one here for this workshop opportunity. We do ask that a parent/guardian remain on the church premises during the Education Hour, while your young one is participating in this workshop experience.

Join us for the Abiding Presence Eggstravaganza. In the church, Easter is a 50-day season. We are celebrating this wonderful season with a family friendly festival. We will have games, “Easter Candyland,” a service project station, face paint, and more.

On Sunday, March 31, volunteers are needed to provide dinner for shelter guests by making food and/or serving dinner. Prepared food and volunteers serving the dinner need to arrive at the church no later than 5:15 pm.

The food needs to delivered in disposable pans. There are foil baking pans and cupcake carriers in the narthex. You can use the recipe provided in Signup Genius or your own recipe.

Friday March 29th 7:30-10:00p.m.

All 7th-12th graders are invited to join us on Good Friday for a mini lock in. Attend worship at 7:30 p.m., eat pizza dinner together, do a Stations of the Cross Workshop and play a game! Our 30-minute children’s service offers the story of Jesus’ crucifixion in an age appropriate and interactive way. Through dialogue with puppets, scripture, prayers, music and more, we will worship together.

We will be hosting a Pizza Dinner for families to gather together prior to the service. Join us for a time of faith and fellowship as we bring our Lenten journey to a close.

During our usual Sunday School time, we will have an intergenerational workshop in Bailey Hall to make resurrection gardens. We will have supplies for each household to make one garden to take home as a visual depiction of the resurrection story. Over this Holy Week, watch as your garden comes to life as a reminder that God’s story is still being written. Households of all ages, shapes and sizes are encouraged to participate.
