Elementary School Children’s Food Assistance Project

This program provides 50 elementary school children at a local Springfield Elementary School with a Weekend Meal Packet. Each week the packets are distributed to the children on Friday by school staff and include 2 meals and 2 snacks. The children are currently participating in the FCPS free/reduced lunch program and have been identified by school staff as needing additional food assistance on the weekends.  The service team delivers the packets to the school the first of the month.

Current Status:

The end of the school year is fast approaching and so is the Children's Food Program for this school year. We only have two more deliveries to make. The next delivery is May 31-please bring in food by May 30. 

We need the following items for this delivery:  individual fruit cup, individual cereal, individual snacks such as ritz bitz peanut butter crackers, goldfish crackers,  teddy grahams, animal cookies, chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, cheezits, or craisins.  Please place donations in the Philippians classroom by May 30.
