Our Youth Are a Vital Part of Our Ministries

We encourage our youth to “do ministry” as well as become active members in small groups that center on sharing highs and lows, Bible study, prayer, and blessing.

In 2002, we entered a 5-year experiment for our Junior-Senior High from Faith Inkubators called “Confirmation as Ordination/Call.”We joined other congregations in the country to begin processing what it would mean if we intentionally invite our confirmed youth to assess their spiritual gifts. Through Bible study, prayer, and parental support, youth would be “called” into a ministry on Confirmation day.

Organization

Our youth activities are divided into groups by grade:

1st through 6th, Jr. High ( 7th and 8th), and Sr. High (9th through 12th)

Music Ministries

In addition to the Sonrise Cherubs, Sonrise Singers and Sonrise Chimers our youth participate in the Brass Ensemble and in special music programs throughout the year.
