Registration will close when full (40 campers) or when we need to place our final order for scripts (about 6 weeks before the start of camp).
Calling all rising 6th-12th grade students who love to sing and/or act and/or dance: you’re invited to join our 2024 Musical Theater Day Camp to “tell the tale of a dreamer like you:”
We’re putting on a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s mega-hit musical… and we’re rehearsing and performing it in only ONE WEEK!
Musical Theater Day Camp is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. Our performance (required) is on Friday, July 19 at 4:00 p.m; campers will stay and do final performance preparation between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Families and friends are invited to join us at 4:00 p.m. to be our audience and support our campers! All days of camp and the performance will be held at the Abiding Presence Lutheran Church building (6304 Lee Chapel Rd, Burke, VA 22015).
Tuition is $125 per camper, with need-based scholarship available (more info on registration page).
Each day will be full of learning, growing, and tons of fun as we prepare this delightful and hilarious retelling of the biblical story of Joseph (son of Jacob) for a Friday performance open to all. Campers will gain confidence and skills through the performing arts, led by experienced musical/theatrical professionals and our trained camp counselors.
No prior musical theater experience or audition is required—just a willingness to sing/act/dance, try new things, learn, listen, and grow as a performing artist! Temple B’nai Shalom and Abiding Presence Lutheran Church are open and affirming faith communities, and all are welcome to participate.
