Join us for lunch followed by a presentation on Zentagle. an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun method for creating beautiful images by drawing structured, non-representational patterns called "tangles." This meditative art form uses simple, intentional pen strokes—dots, lines, curves—to reduce stress, improve focus, and boost creativity. Zentagle is often used for stress reduction, calming the mind, and improving concentration. RSVP with an email or a phone call to the church at 703-455-7500.

This group is for families who have members whose brains  navigate the world a little differently. We walk with each other in navigating the joys and challenges of supporting our loved ones (and, sometimes ourselves) with diagnoses that include ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other disabilities. We also support the church in continuing to be a welcoming community to neurodiverse families.

The Iron Men span the generations from their 20s to their 70s. Together they pray, engage in Bible Study, converse, support and share in life together.

May 3 at both the 9:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. services

On Youth Sunday all youth in 7-12th grade will be invited to help plan and participate in worship leadership. Confirmands Abiding Fellows, ad Abiding Fellow Apprentices will spend the weeks running up to Youth Sunday writing the service together. HS Seniors will give reflections at both services.

At Abiding Presence, we love an excuse to celebrate the “Very Important People” in our lives. That’s why we are hosting our very first Preschool-6th GradeVIP Prom!

Join us for a fun time full of dancing with your VIP! We will have a photo booth for you to take pictures at as well as light snacks and drinks during the prom.

Tickets are $10/VIP adult and child. Each additional child is $5. Please bring your confirmation “ticket” (email) to the Prom with you. You can purchase your tickets here.

The celebration of Easter continues with Good Shepherd Sunday. On this Sunday, we talk about Jesus as the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep. We’re celebrating with real sheep on the lawn between services. There’s no better way to embrace the image of a Good Shepherd!

Tabletop game night for adults with games and light snacks available. Bring a friend, a game, a snack, or just yourself! Supervised movie and board games childcare for kids ages 3-6th grade available at the church from our Abiding Fellows. RSVP required for childcare by 4/20. Students of all ages are invited to join Ms. Michaela and participate in a service project for the Abiding Presence Food Pantry. On the Thursday before every Abiding Presence Food Pantry, you can come learn about how the food pantry operates, help pray over the produce and the people who are coming, and learn about service as a spiritual discipline.
